Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Gotrex Tours (www.gotrextours.com). By booking a tour or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Booking and Payment

Confirmation: A booking is considered confirmed only after we receive the required deposit or full payment and issue a confirmation invoice.
Pricing: All prices are quoted in [£/USD/LKR]. We reserve the right to adjust prices in the event of significant government tax increases or extreme currency fluctuations.
Payment Methods: We accept payments via Credit/Debit Cards (processed securely through PayHere) (LKR or USD) . Payments are processed securely via PayHere. We do not store your credit card information.
Payment Methods: We accept direct bank transfers (£ or LKR) through Bank Name: COMMERCIAL BANK OF CEYLON PLC, Bank Address: COMMERCIAL HOUSE, 21 SIR RAZIK FAREED MAWATHA, COLOMBO 1, SRI LANKA. Account name: GOTREX TOURS (PVT) LTD, Account Number: 1000949351, SWIFT/BIC Code: CCEYLKLX.
Bank Transfer Fees: For all bank transfers, the sender is responsible for all intermediary and receiving bank charges. The full invoiced amount must reach our account. If a "short-payment" occurs due to bank fees, the balance must be settled before the tour commences.
Exchange Rates: For payments made in a currency different from the invoice, the rate will be based on the selling rate of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka on the day of the transaction.
Proof of Payment: For bank transfers, a copy of the swift message or transfer receipt must be emailed to info@gotrextours.com to secure your booking. Bookings are only "confirmed" once funds are cleared in our account.

2. Travellers’ Responsibilities

Visas & Documentation: It is the traveller’s responsibility to obtain a valid visa / Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for Sri Lanka and ensure their passport is valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
Health & Fitness: Travelers must ensure they are fit for the activities included in their itinerary (e.g., hiking, safaris). Please inform us of any medical conditions or dietary requirements at the time of booking.
Conduct: We reserve the right to terminate the tour of any individual whose behaviour is disruptive, illegal, or dangerous to themselves or others. No refund will be given in such cases.

3. Changes to Itinerary

By the Traveller: We will do our best to accommodate requested changes after booking, but these may be subject to additional costs from hotels or transport providers.
By Gotrex Tours: Sri Lanka is a dynamic destination. Occasionally, we may need to make minor changes to the itinerary (e.g., changing a hotel to one of equal standard or adjusting a route due to weather). We will notify you of significant changes as soon as possible.

4. Insurance & Liability

Travel Insurance: It is a condition of booking that all travellers have comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, personal accident, and trip cancellation.
Liability: Gotrex Tours acts as an agent for hotels, transport providers, and activity organizers. While we only work with reputable partners, we are not liable for injury, damage, loss, or delay caused by these third-party providers.

5. Force Majeure

Gotrex Tours shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations where such failure is as a result of Acts of Nature (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane, or other natural disasters), war, strike, or government-imposed restrictions/lockdowns.

6. Photography and Media

During our tours, our guides or staff may take photos or videos for promotional purposes. By joining a tour, you grant us permission to use this media on our website and social media. If you prefer not to be photographed, please let your guide know at the start of the trip.

7. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
