Essence of Sri Lanka - Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Paradise

Your journey begins with a warm welcome at the airport by our representative. We will transfer you to the coastal town of Negombo, where you can relax after your flight. You’ll spend the night at Jetwing J (or similar) on a Bed & Breakfast basis, soaking in the tropical breeze.

Day 2: Ancient Wonders – Dambulla & Sigiriya

After breakfast, we head into the heart of the Cultural Triangle. You will witness the majesty of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and explore the ancient Dambulla Cave Temple. Your stay for the night is at Fresco Water Villa (or similar) on a Bed & Breakfast basis.

Day 3: The Spiritual Capital – Kandy

We continue to the hill capital, Kandy. Here, you will visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic and experience the rhythm of Sri Lankan heritage with a traditional Cultural Dance performance. You will stay overnight at the Oak Ray City Hotel (or similar) on a Bed & Breakfast basis.

Day 4: Into the Highlands – Ella

Prepare for one of the most beautiful experiences in the world: the scenic train journey through tea plantations and misty mountains to Ella. Once there, you will visit the iconic Nine Arch Bridge. You’ll be staying at La Ella Breeze (or similar) on a Bed & Breakfast basis.

Day 5: The Wild Frontier – Udawalawe

Today is for the wildlife lovers! We travel to Udawalawe for a thrilling Jeep Safari in the National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants. After the adventure, retreat to the Mastodon Safari Resort (or similar) for an overnight stay on a Bed & Breakfast basis.

Day 6: Sun, Surf & Sand – Mirissa

Time to unwind. We head to the southern coast for a day of pure relaxation. Enjoy leisure time at a beach resort in Mirissa, famous for its golden sands and turquoise waters. You will enjoy an overnight stay at the Paradise Beach Club (or similar) on a Half Board basis (Breakfast & Dinner).

Day 7: Farewell – Colombo Departure

After your final Sri Lankan breakfast at the beach hotel, you will be transferred to Colombo International Airport for your flight home, carrying with you memories of a lifetime with Gotrex Tours.
